Once upon a time, I fell in love with an electronic duo named Yaz. Vince Clarke’s analog blips and squiggles were too infectious to resist.
A quarter century later, Vince bubbled up in my subconscious to inspire the bass riff for a song called “Indestructible“ (Alison Moyet’s vocal stylings may have rubbed off a bit too).
Vince’s influence can be heard yet again in a remix of the same song by Solarno, which sounds remarkably like Innocents-era Erasure.
“Indestructible (Solarno BFFs 4Ever Radio Edit)” is available for free download for one week only.
The full-length version is featured on The Lost Remixes, Vol. 1.Follow @colortheory
