I never much cared for being in the “merch” business. It’s one thing to sell CDs. I’m a recording artist after all. They’re small, so I can ship all but the largest orders from home. T-shirts are a different story. They demand a separate Tyvek mailer, and post-9/11, a trip to the post office, plus a customs form for international orders. While it’s cool to think that someone in Russia is walking around in a Color Theory t-shirt (thanks Denis!), on the whole it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
Will there ever be another Color Theory t-shirt? Maybe, if someone comes up with a really cool design. Even then, I’ll sell them through another site that makes shirts individually as orders come in. It’ll be convenient (for me anyway), but not cheap. What I’m getting at is, if you ever wanted a Color Theory t-shirt, now’s the time.
